PALM DESERT, Aug. 21, 2016 – The U.S. women won their sixth consecutive Olympic basketball title, beating Spain 101-72 on Saturday. The American women scored their 49th consecutive win in Olympic play, one of the greatest dynasties in Olympic history.
Another U.S. win – by Matthew Centrowitz in the 1,500 meters – has Chicago Cubs fans smiling for historical reasons, and we finally got around to checking on the performance of the U.S. track & field team in Rio vs. their performances at the Trials.
