The Sports Examiner: The greatest Olympic swim team ever?

PALM DESERT, Aug. 14, 2016 – A year ago, the U.S. won just 20 medals in Olympic events at the swimming World Championships, and a lot of folks were worried. No need.

The American swimmers, one of the greatest swimming teams in history – maybe the best ever – completed a 33-medal haul in Rio, including runaway wins in the closing medley relays.
